I was craving for something like EVE Online for a long time, with a virtual economy, countless factions and a living-breathing galaxy to explore and shit. I might get Starpoint Gemini 2 too, given that the price may go lower.
Sadly these are all single-player only games.
Two games got my attention that is a big sandbox space sim and online. Actually three. EVE Online Entropy Limit Theory
Why I won't get these games?
EVE Online The subscription fee. I'm not in the state to pay 10 euros every month to play a game I barely have time to anyway...
Entropy Once-paid MMO space sim, it's in alpha and everyone is flaming it like hell, because how unorganized and bad it is at it's current state. I'm sure it will greatly improve... in a few years.
Limit Theory There were rumours about a multiplayer mode, but forums quickly busted it when a moderator said, the developer would have to build up the game from scracth again, to enable multiplayer mode in it. Said reason I won't buy it.
From this day my soul is given to the X3 games, I already signed the paperwork. Sorry guys, see you all in 40 years.
Yeah its gunna pretty big Star Citizen. I played Eve online for a good year or so, quite enjoy it but like you say the £8 a month is shit. You can buy game time with in game money but after a year I wasn't anywhere near that point even with two accounts.
