The United States is primed for an economic breakdown, so a contract was signed called "Directive 51", in case the breakdown happens, Sleeper Cells, Covert Agents and Shadow Agencies will fight to save what remains. What I really like about this game is the companion mode. Probably you'll have to buy a tablet specifically made for the game. I don't know though, but this companion mode just looks really cool. And Ghost Recon Phantoms has already proved how reliable and perfect the combat system is, in Ubisoft games. This game really worth a try and it could be the next big thing actually.
Destiny:
What looks like a combination of Halo, Lost Planet and probably Borderlands, this game has some freaky good ability system, skill trees and graphics. It looks good and worth a try.
Grand Theft Auto Online:
Soon coming out on PC too, GTA Online has almost everything you want from an open-world MMO side of the legendary franchise, Grand Theft Auto. Heists, Content creator to create your own contents, always new contents, wide variety of customization options and an own MMO storyline, this game is as good as it can get. Definitely worth to try out, as it can be endless fun with friends.
Elder Scrolls Online:
Elder Scrolls is another great title to mention, with it's breath-taking open-world RPG games, unique storyline, vast customization options, variety of species and skills to hone, endless options to complete your quests and basically the never ending fun. You are gonna play any Elder Scrolls title for hundreds of hours as these games have tons of quests, side quests and unnamed quests.
Here comes the best part though. Now in Elder Scrolls Online you'll be able to do all of this, with your FRIENDS! Something that is a must in gaming, missing it out would be a great mistake.
Titanfall:
A lot like Call of Duty, but with robots. Fast-paced actions? Check Badass, giant, shooting mofo robots? Check Stylish kills? Double Check
This game is the ultimate adrenaline-rushing, shooting up everything, killing everything that moves shootout game, where all you have to do is be a badass baws on the field and dominate the battles. Of course with your gigantic slaughter machine.
Watchdogs:
I seeeee you... *evil grin*
Watchdogs. The trailer tells everything. A game specifically for those who like to make the perfect plans for anything. Where you have the ability to control an entire city's electricity, security, traffic, everything. The city is your playground and you choose, how to play your cards in this game, where you can get powerful allies or enemies. Be careful, because they see you... and they'll strike when you least expect it.
EDIT:
Black Desert Online:
Black Desert Online is an upcoming new MMO game set in a fantasy world, but what's really outstanding in the game is the combat system which actually looks kinda like in Devil May Cry and of course the character customization. Hats off to it, the details the graphics and everything just looks amazing, I dare to say it's better than the APB Character Customization. (Recommended by Artless)
Archeage:
This one was suggested by Alex/Metnem, I don't know much about it, just what I read from the original site. Looks like you can do anything in this game, from trading, to crafting, to building galleons, houses and castles, support allies in war that can change the fate of the world. World changing PvP elements, decisions that you make to decide the future of the world. IMO it is something to look up to and keep an eye out for it, because the more things you can do in a game, the better it becomes, the more you are going to play it.
The Crew:
Suggested by RimJim, I was so tired at 00:30 a.m. that I forgot to add this to the list, firsthand. SHAME ON ME!
Get a car and take onto the road of US, dominate every race, tackle heists and drive around alone or with your friends in this massively multiplayer online driving game. I said driving because you can do more than just racing in this game. You can recruit members in your crew by challenging them, drive around just for the feel or fun, discover new places, plan heists, Go on races in all-terrain, this game has much to offer and the graphics are really nice.
Also, hats off to Ubisoft in the recent months/years Ubisoft created some outstanding games, let it be once-payed retail games or MMO games, but Ubisoft is doing something right now. Let's hope the titles here listed, will be as good as they really show.
Star Citizen:
Suggested by Phatbob, this is Star Citizen, a sci-fi space simulator game, where you can become anything you want. Miner, Mechanic, Pilot, Soldier, Pirate, Privateer, you choose your role in the game. You can craft ammunition, upgrades, attachments and all that kind of stuff for your ship, your weapon or yourself. Man a turret on the cruiser you are living in when not flying with your jet.
Here comes a unique part though. Perma-death is present in the game but not the way you think it is. Through your progression in the game you'll earn prestige and name for yourself, you'll be well-known and you hone your skills to the limits. If you get shot in a fight but it's not a fatal wound, or it wasn't too much for your body to carry off (You'll still die [Let's say you become unconscious during the fight] and stay out of the battle). You'll wake up in a medical facility. Depending on the damage your body received, you'll see the wounds you got. For example if it was a shot wound, you'll see it stitched up. But if you lost a limb because of a close explosion, it'll be replaced with a mechanical limb. Depending on how much your body can carry out, you can survive a battle even if you are incapacitated, but you'll need time to revive from your wounds (I think...) But if you took too much damage then you'll die, period. Here comes the fun part though.
Even after you died, you'll wake up as the son/daughter of your earlier character. Being under the name of a great character, you'll still lose your stuff, your honed skills and everything, besides your prestige. You'll lose some of your prestige only but not all.
If I have to be short, I would say this is the perfection of perma-death. Not too complicated, not too simple, you lose only half of your progression, but not all.
Definitely a must. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
That's all I can come up with now. Please feel free to add any other games to this thread if you think it's new/good/upcoming and really deserves some more attention, by us and by everyone else. Cheers!
GTA Online is awful. I was hoping it would be like APB but its not at all. It is only fun for about half hour and then when you realise that there is nothing much to do when you did all the missions once and bought yourself a house and what not. It took ages to get the heists to come out (based on heists in single player game) and I gave up in the end before they came.
Single player GTA V is the shit.... truly epic gaming. Online is a step up from GTA IV but honestly it has a LONG LONG way to go before it gets good in V. It is good for a week or so and then you get stone bored of it.
I have just picked up ESO and I am waiting for the Division. Cant wait to play that.
